Seamus has been learning real estate almost by osmosis. He’s been Nikki’s support person since the day she started in real estate.
Seamus has had a couple of careers, predominately as a Chef, he started from an early age assisting with his parents catering business, after qualifying he headed to England and worked in a number of restaurants including the famous Dorchester Hotel. He returned home and then headed to the mines in Australia also cooking. Arriving back to Nelson he went on to spend many years cooking on fishing boats both in New Zealand and offshore.
He bought his first home in The Brook and then along with Nikki went on to become investors with a block of flats in Tahuna. They took pride in both properties looking after their home and their tenants, one of which is still there and remembers them as caring and helpful landlords.
When they moved to Golden Bay in the early 2000’s he became the home dad caring for their two boys (Josh & Danny) enabling Nikki to build her real estate business. Now that the boys are older it made sense that Seamus transition into the real estate business and in 2017 he qualified as a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson. A keen cyclist both on the road and in the mountains, Seamus is known for his commitment and determination – two key skills in real estate. Always up for a chat, he’s keen to get out and about in the Nelson region, helping people to buy and sell property in the place he loves. To him there’s nowhere in New Zealand that beats Nelson, – for weather, outdoor adventures and a place to enjoy with the family.
